Curtis Blaydes thinks he beat Josh Hokit at UFC 327
Heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Josh Hokit went to war on the UFC 327 main card last weekend in Miami. Their efforts earned them Fight of the Night honors, a fat bonus check, and solidified them a spot in the conversation of Fight of the Year. Hokit won the fight via unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the bout the same, 29-28.
Blaydes, however, doesn't agree with the Judes and believes he should have had his hand raised instead. "I was surprised. I was expecting Herb [Dean] to pick my hand up.
I really was," Blaydes told TMZ Sports . "I was a little bit in shock. I was like, damn, I thought I did enough.
" Blaydes hasn't seen the full replay of the fight but has watches most of the clips posted online. He believes his wrestling should have gotten him the nod. "It looked like, yeah, it was a hell of a fight.
I won a lot of those exchanges, and he won a lot of those exchanges. It seemed split, but then you add in the wrestling. He didn't get any of his wrestling going.
